The DCVA has the following committees:
- Natural Resource Committee
- Planning and Zoning
- Membership
- Communications
- Legal
- Scholarship
- Fundraising
- Events
The Natural Resource Committee:
This hard working committee, among other smart types, currently has four PhD's examining and making recommendations on the complex environmental issues and concerns that effect Sonoma County and Dry Creek in particular. What would we do without them analyzing and clarifying the very serious issues that face the valley?
Judith Olney, Chair
Fred Corson
Ed Wilson
Richard Kagel
Don Kaminisky
Fred Euphrat
Doug Lipton
Planning and Zoning:
Most of us moved to the Dry Creek for its rural settings but sometimes "rural" is interpreted differently from one neighbor to the other. This committee works hard to make sure neighbors remain as neighborly as possible by reviewing building and expansion plans and providing a format where both concerns and kudos can be shared.
Charlee Schanzer/Bill Smith, Chairs
Ridgely Evers
Hank Lane
Greg Putnam
Don Wallace
Debra Mathy
Membership:
Getting to know your fellow Dry Creek residents is facilitated by the DCVA socials, general meetings, casual get-togethers and shared concerns. We are a neighborhood; make sure you are a part of it.
Charlee Schanzer, Chair
Lisa Henson
Communications:
This active committee is responsible for the decimination of information to the membership. This includes the coordination of social events and maintaining the website. It serves as a liason between the Board and the membership including being an official sounding board for DCVA committees.

Lisa Henson
Charlee Schanzer
Legal:
While most people agree that getting to know one another is high on their list for belonging to DCVA, sometimes we need to clarify our rights or concerns, like the current water issues. This committee is often busy making presentations on our behalf to the Board of Supervisors or checking into our non-profit status, for example.
Ed Wilson, Chair
Scholarship:
Every year scholarships are given to local school children and young adults who reside in Dry Creek. Funding comes from donations and the annual picnic. Over the years many local students have appreciated the help they have received to further their education.
Marci Cook, Chair
Ann Howard
Helena Bowman
Nancy Bevill
Jason Passalacqua
Yvonne Horton
Fundraising:
Fundraising is a new committee with a big mandate. If Dry Creek is going to intelligently and effectively make its concerns known to the Board of Supervisors and/or other decision making groups whose mandates affect our quality of life, funds must be available for appropriate studies or other expert testimony when needed. You will be hearing more about the "Legacy Fund" and its uses soon.
